Construction DPP begins phased rollout
The revised Construction Products Regulation begins phased application on 8 January 2026. What is now required, and what remains transitional.
The revised Construction Products Regulation (EU) 2024/3110 began phased application on 8 January 2026. Manufacturers, importers and authorised representatives placing construction products on the EU market are now subject to transitional DPP rules.
What applies now
- Declaration of Performance (DoP) must be provided in electronic form with a durable link.
- Product information files must be accessible to market-surveillance authorities in the new structured format.
- Harmonised technical specifications begin migrating from hENs to the new Acquis Regulations per product family.
What remains transitional
The DPP obligation itself is phased per product family, aligned with the migration of harmonised technical specifications. Families already covered by a mature hEN will see DPP obligations within 18–24 months of this milestone; newer or more complex families benefit from longer transitions (up to 2039 in edge cases).
Foundation guidance
- Act now on the digital DoP and the product information file structure; these apply today.
- Track your product family on the delegated-acts tracker.
- Plan EPD reuse: the construction DPP re-uses EN 15804 EPD data. Getting EPDs up to date is the single highest-leverage preparation you can make this year.
